This is in relation to the harassment allegations against three former Ubisoft executives during court hearings back in June.A month later, the French court sentenced three former Ubisoft executives to suspended prison terms, with charges including sexual assault and "enabling a culture of sexual and psychological harassment."Specifically, the convictions entail former editorial vice president Thomas François, who was convicted on a charge of attempted sexual assault was handed a suspended three-year term. Former chief creative officer Serge Hascoët was given an 18-month suspended sentence, while former games director Gillaume Patrux received a 12-month suspended sentence.In a statement provided by Ubisoft, a spokesperson said the civil parties and facts are the same as those involved and judged by the court this past June, following an investigation by the Public Prosecutor's Office.The spokesperson also noted that, after that investigation, and "contrary to the civil parties' requests," the Public Prosecutor's Office decided that there were "no grounds to initiate criminal proceedings against Ubisoft or its management," a decision it "confirmed during its closing arguments at the hearing last June."Related:Ubisoft says protecting physical and moral integrity of employees is its 'top priority'The statement goes on to say that Ubisoft will continue to cooperate with the justice system in this matter, "as it has done over the past five years in the review of the facts" related to this case.“Our top priority is to ensure the absolute protection of the physical and moral integrity of its employees, through a policy of prevention and zero tolerance with regard to sexual or moral harassment, sexist behavior, assault, insult, or discrimination of any kind,” Ubisoft executive vice president Cecile Russeil stated.The hearings took place over four days at the beginning of June. As reported by The Guardian, the court was told how the aforementioned Ubisoft executives frequently abused their power to harass and bully employees.The women who previously worked at Ubisoft described how they were subjected to constant comments about sex and their bodies, made to endure sexist and homophobic jokes, and touched physically without consent.Related:During the hearings, François, Hascoët, and Patrux denied all charges. State prosecutor Antoine Haushalter, however, said the case revealed "overwhelming" evidence of harassment within Ubisoft and claimed the video game industry has "systemic" issues with sexism and abuse.The news comes a month after Ubisoft confirmed it laid off 19 people at Ubisoft Red Storm. The redundancies happened four months after securing a $1.25 billion investment from Tencent, and they followed hundreds of job cuts and studio closures over the past year. At the beginning of the year, Ubisoft said it must take "decisive steps" to reshape its business and "drive significant cost reductions."

You can play the limited-time Lumines Arise Demo on PlayStation 5 now through September 3 and try out three single-player stages and help us network test the all-new multiplayer Burst Battle mode. The Demo only features one difficulty (Easy – the final game will have four different levels), but you’ll also find robust options to fit every play style under “Accessibility” in the Options menu. Want to strip away the visual flourishes to focus more on the gameplay? There’s options for that! Play Video An all-new multiplayer experience Burst Battle represents a complete reinvention of multiplayer Lumines, borrowing from the competitive-puzzle-game greats, but adding a twist all its own. Now, both players have an entire playfield to themselves and can send garbage blocks to attack their opponent. You generate these attacks by clearing 2×2 (or larger) Squares, or by triggering the all-new Burst mechanic (where you have a few Timeline passes to build a single color match as large as possible). The bigger the Burst, the larger the deluge your opponent will face! Meanwhile, garbage blocks can pile up on the sides, shrinking the available playfield—only matching blocks adjacent to garbage will clear it out. This ebb and flow can get super tense and really fun, I hope you try it out! The Demo features a taste of Burst Battle via matchmaking, but the full version of the game will offer friend / CPU matches, custom matches, and local play. And you’ll get to select your favorite stage music / block-visuals that you unlocked in the single-player Journey mode to use in multiplayer; it’s kind of like having your own theme song as you head into battle! Pokemon Go developer Scopely has revealed new details on the game's next season, Tales of Transformation. The season will start on September 2 and will run through December 2, with some of the highlights including a new transformation for a legendary Pokemon, more Mega Pokemon, and a few new pocket monsters will be coming to the game.Kicking things off is confirmation that Keldeo will be able to transform into its Resolute Form during a season-long Special Research journey. In the Pokemon games, this form gives the mythical Pokemon more power and speed, and players who have already caught Keldeo can earn Keldeo Candy to power it up further. Fans of Mega Pokemon can look forward to Mega Raid Days throughout the season, as Mega Sharpedo, Mega Camerupt, and Mega Metagross will all appear during this event. There'll also be new Dynamax and Gigantamax Pokemon appearing during Tales of Transformation, like Dynamax Abra, Dynamax Duraludon, and Gigantamax Garbodor.
